Tracker Talks – Changing Procurement Procedures – less confusion will make tendering simpler

One of the proposals that will impact the most in the Transforming Public Procurement Green Paper is the intention to halve the number of procurement procedures, which is currently set at six.

The proposed reduction in the number of procurement procedures will make things simpler for you in many ways. The confusion of the current procedures will be removed, with only two main options available in future plus one other procedure for urgent requirements.

Framework Agreements will also be subject to change, with two versions being created, one of which can be refreshed during its life, offering additional opportunities for suppliers to gain access to existing frameworks once they are created, whilst Dynamic Purchasing Systems will also be revamped to allow greater scope for their use and more opportunities to suppliers to get themselves listed for future contract opportunities.

This free on-demand webinar will provide suppliers with a rare opportunity to gain insight into the following areas:

• The key changes to the procedures
• What you need to know when the new procedures come into use
• What the changes to Frameworks and DPS mean in practice
• How the changes could make things easier for you
