Approximately 2500 new tender notices are advertised in the OJEU every week, including invitations to tender, prior information notices, qualification systems and contract award notices.
What is the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU)?
OJEU tenders are published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), which is the central database for European public sector tender notices. We help businesses across the UK find out more about the OJEU process.
OJEU Procedures and OJEU thresholds
EU Directives dictate that public sector contracts worth more than £118,133 (central) and £181,302 (local) must be advertised across the whole of the EU and the European Economic Area using set forms and rules which are laid out in the Public Procurement Regulations.
There are five commonly used OJEU procedures used when applying to OJEU contracts. OJEU service thresholds apply to all contracting authorities, as defined by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, including all central government departments, their Executive Agencies, Non-Departmental Public Bodies, Executive Agencies and the wider public sector.
How to find OJEU tender notices
OJEU tender notices are published by a wide range of bodies across the whole of the public sector. These include organisations and projects that receive public funding such as central government departments, local authorities, educational establishments and NHS trusts. Last year, Tracker published 465,000 OJEU tenders which helped connect buyers and suppliers throughout the public sector in Europe. Our research team manually review and categorise all the published tenders and select the most relevant opportunities for your organisation.
