NI Water’s Director of Finance and Regulation is encouraging Northern Ireland’s business community to meet with its procurement team as it has been announced that the company will release contracts to a value of £240m over the next 18 months.
Tender Opportunities for Local Businesses
NI Water’s main focus this year has been to make its infrastructure relevant to the customers that it serves. The company is running new initiatives which will meet the needs of future customers and will help the company to achieve its vision of becoming a ‘world-class’ water utility.
The organisation wants to work with companies that specialise in the following areas:
- Mobile Work Management
- Water and Waste Residuals
- Networks Maintenance
Over £200 million will be spent on contracts with innovative suppliers. Ronan Larkin, NI Water’s Director of Finance and Regulation. said that:
‘‘The opportunities for local companies really are tremendous – for every £1 that NI Water invests, the wider knock-on effect in our community is almost double that.
Early Engagement
If you are interested in winning a contract with NI Water, early engagement with the organisation is vital. The company invites companies to learn more about the opportunities on offer at a Supplier Engagement Event on Wednesday 24 October.
This will be held at Dunadry Hotel, Antrim and has been organised in partnership with InterTrade Ireland.
This event gives small companies the opportunity to meet some of NI Water’s strategic contractors, InterTrade Ireland and Invest NI, who are attending to provide advice on consortium bid opportunities.
