Arvato UK Outsourcing Index has revealed that both government and private sector outsourcing has boosted in 2018.
Statistics have revealed that UK businesses have signed outsourcing contracts worth £1.50 billion between July and September 2018.
A strong Q3 for private sector suppliers
Q3 2018 saw four times the value of deals agreed compared to the same period last year.
Professional services firms came out on top as the most active buyers, signing deals worth £1.15 billion. The activity in this sector has been “primarily driven by demand for HR services.”
In terms of spending, business process outsourcing was the strongest with a the total deal value of £1.33 billion. The spend in the same period last year stood at £286 million. Arvato has stated that:
“Customer services and HR outsourcing were the most frequently procured BPO service lines by UK businesses, with customer services alone accounting for 42 per cent of all private sector deals signed in Q3, with contract value reaching £162 million.”
